Brady and Andrea

So these were way fun to shoot and make, and we got them done pretty fast too! They made it way easy, and although the main layout of the announcement isn't super new or unique on my part, it is a nice variation, and if it works why change it? :D I think it turned out way good. Congrats guys!

Camera Collection

Some call it a hobby, others a job. I call it a passion! I love what I do, and that will keep me doing well at it. These are a few of the cameras I have collected recently. I love where photography is at, and where it has evolved from. Who knows where it will be a few years from now! The old cameras feel so basic, yes so advanced for what they had to work with. To better my understanding of modern photography I've made it a point to learn about and explore the history of photography; and a great way to do that is with the actual cameras they used back then. So here they are! I love showing them to people, so let me know if you're interested! :D

Some Old Shots....

more to come....

Let's kick this off right!

So I finally decided to get a good photography blog together and here it is! For the sake of knowing, I do all sorts of photography, and there isn't any style or part of the industry that I won't try, so I am always up for suggestions and comments that can better what I do! For the most part I love the abstract fine art style of photography, and I'm really interested in doing outdoor studio shots, with the lighting and everything. There are tons of photographers that have work that intrigues me, and captivates my thought processes and wonderings, but I decided a long time ago that although there are times that I like to shoot in someone else's "style", I am developing my own. So if anyone asks, I can say "I shoot like Chris Caldwell!" and hopefully one day what I do to the photography world and the world in general can have an impact, no matter how small. I shoot to put smiles on faces and to urge people to think of things that they haven't before, and to look at things in a unique way. So if my photography does that for you let me know! That's the kind of thing that keeps me going; the love for the industry and the people that are moved by whatever level of talent I have in photography.

The things that set me apart from other photographers is passion and heart, every picture I shoot, in a way, contains part of me, and I can honestly say that I have a love for photography. I don't shoot just to be out there, or just to be making a living, but I shoot because that is what I love. It is a talent that I want to share with as many people as possible, one picture at a time. Sure, I shoot professionally and for clients, but you can tell how much someone loves something when they even use their free time to improve and learn about that same thing. How many jobs have people that do that? You don't see construction workers coming home and digging more holes for fun, or restaurant workers running home to cook more of the same food! Nothings against those jobs, my point is just that photography is a passion, it is what I do. Maybe sometimes it defines me, but hopefully through my work I can help define photography.

I have a few old pictures that I'll put up here, but I'll mostly be uploading pictures as I do them. There are already so many that it is getting harder to keep track of them, but I'll do my best!
